Outtakes From Grandfather Mountain

Someday Julian might not appreciate this, but I think this whole series is hilarious. Kevin decided to take a picture of the kids and I sitting up on the rock. Keaton decided to be in the picture. The pictures tell the rest of the story!

Not quite sure why Kevin never put the camera down to help the poor boy, but what could he do? This is always how Kev takes pictures. If I ask him to take a few pictures he takes about 10 really quick and puts the camera down. Silly PAPArazzi! He is definitely not a photographer, but he tries to help out!

Grandfather Mountain 2009 Part 2

Subtitled: I will never catch up to real time blogging, but I don't want to skip things like I did last year to catch up. (Seriously, I think I may have skipped blogging the kiddos birthdays last year! Their first American birthdays. Uh! Don't even ask if the girls birthday party pictures were backed up when our computer crashed either. I don't like to think about that.)

I really ought to just have a day for catching up on blogging. I can't decide the best way to do this. Devote a day to blogging, try to make a post a day, etc. I have a ridiculous amount of things on my plate and not enough time to do them all. But this is the scrapbook of our family life so I don't want to skip large chunks either. The real problem is that when you are this far behind on blogging you don't remember all the sweetest details you want to write. :( But I'm going to press on.














Great day that exhausted everyone! I am hoping we can make it up there a little earlier next year though.

Grandfather Mountain 2009 Part 1

This year we made our annual trip up to Grandfather Mountain a few weeks late. Sophie and Tate both got sick on the weekends we were supposed to go during prime viewing weekends, but we decided to make it up there anyway because it is such a great family day. The place is gorgeous year round, with or without the fall colors!

Aw, Shucks!

After Halloween I got to go on a field trip with Tate's kindergarten class to the cutest farm! It's a corn farm called Aw, Shucks! They had everything you can imagine there for kids to run around, play, feed, ride, and see. The day flew by so quickly and we all got so tired out there. :)
















Isn't is the sweetest farm you've ever seen? Perfect for kindergartens to spend a day in the sun learning and playing!

Keaton took advantage of being left home alone all day. I found him curled up on a couch he isn't even allowed to go on. Too cute!
