Sweetest Song I've Ever Heard

I am downstairs working on uploading pictures I've taken lately and putting together a video of our Disney World trip. (Don't worry Kev, I'm on my third load of laundry, I've made the bed, deep cleaned in the girls' room, put away the folded laundry, and stripped some beds to wash the sheets later... and it's only 9! ;) ) Anyway, I'm sitting down here and Tate is playing upstairs on the landing singing sweetly to himself. This is the song I hear:

We so happy.
Papa and Mama and Tate
We so happy. Yay!
Tate and Vivi (Lily) and Sophie and Dulian (Julian).
Cause we at our dom and nyet at detsky dom.
We so happy. Yay! We so happy. Yay!
Papa 'zat work. Our kids are at school.
We so happy. Yay! (x35)

What a little sweetie, huh?

Along the same lines he told me the cutest thing last week and I wrote it down because I just love the way he says things. We were playing on my bedroom floor and I scooped him up and was talking to him.

I said: Tate, I'm so glad you live at our house now and not at detsky dom anymore.
Tate: Yeah. 'Specially cause I had no mama and I need a mama for me.

He is a charmer, that little guy.

I've been following your blog for the last couple of months. You are such an inspiration to me! When God started tugging at my heart to adopt more than one child...to move outside of our comfort zone, I stumbled upon your blog! Wow, 4 kids!

Tate's song melted my heart!

Thanks for posting this. I just returned earlier tonight from a trip to Russia & our adoption has been delayed. It makes me realize that I have to push on. This is the hardest thing I've ever done, but I know will all be worth it in the end. Sorry to Amy that you can no longer accept comments, want you both (Krista & Amy) to know you are wonderful moms!!!

Oh, Lainie. That is so sad. :( I can't say there was much about the adoption process that I loved, but it was all so worth it. You know that one day you will look back and see this as a distant memory. Any idea what your timeline will be like now?

I hate that I can't post comments to Amy either. I keep writing them and then remembering that she can't read them. :( I need to get her email address.

Thanks for reading. I know that reading other blogs kept me going and taught me so much about the process.

Krista, we are now looking at court in 2 more weeks. Of course documents are expiring & need to get some of them updated. This could go on forever. I just don't understand why this is made to be so difficult. I will keep repeating to myself that this will be a distant memory. Just hard to do when your living it!!!!

"I need a mama for me" is just about the cutest thing I've ever heard!!! Can I just say how jealous I am that you have one at home?
Yay for Spring Break!
I'll let you know when we're in Charlotte next. We're planning to come this summer. :)

So precious!!! He is right, every child needs a mama and/or papa to just love them unconditionally and take good care of them forever.
Your family was so meant to be!! And it is so beautiful!
God Bless!
